Jeri Martinez
Jeri Martinez has always had art in her life. She was fortunate to have had a career
as a graphic designer but decided to make a change in 1989 -- she wanted to seriously take the
steps to become a fine artist. The key was a
friendship she made with Janeen Dvorak. With their mutual love of art, they traveled a
wonderful path seriously exploring their desire to create. They attended and participated
in workshops from nationally known artists such as Ken Hosmer, George Koutoupus,
Karen Vernon, Dick Mondragon and Karlan Holmes.
Jeri learned so much from these wonderful
artists. She continues to explore in various mediums, compete, and seek to do
commissioned artwork, as well as participate in local and national art shows.
Jeri's artwork can be seen year-round at the Passageway Gallery in Omaha's Old Market.
